SEVEN LIONS

Seven Lions Beyond the Veil - The Journey III Tour

DJ, record producer, and instrumentalist Seven Lions has announced his Beyond the Veil – The Journey III Tour in support of his first studio album, Beyond the Veil. The album was released on October 21, 2022 and features twelve original tracks that challenge and evolve the current melodic bass and dubstep sound that Seven Lions helped pioneer. I have included a video on the left, which was taken during Seven Lions' Beyond the Veil - The Journey III Tour in Madison, WI at the Sylvee last June. In the video, Seven Lions plays the track "Another Me" featuring Excision and Dylan Matthew. Recently, Seven Lions joined Illenium for his "Trilogy Tour" on February 3-4, 2024. I am excited to see his next show at North Coast Music Festival, which takes place during Labor Day weekend.

Favorite Audio Tracks by Seven Lions

1. Strangers - Seven Lions, Myon, Shane 54, Tove Lo

Strangers, a captivating track by Myon & Shane 54, delves into the complex emotions behind fleeting connections and the bittersweet moments of love that never truly materialize. This melodic masterpiece tells a story of two souls intertwining for a brief moment, crossing paths in the vast universe of possibilities before inevitably parting ways. As the gentle beats and haunting vocals carry listeners away, the song unravels themes of missed opportunities, unrequited love, and the profound sense of loneliness that often accompanies fleeting connections.

2. Island - Seven Lions, Wooli, Trivecta, Nevve

The song “Island” by Seven Lions, Wooli, and Trivecta featuring Nevve suggests a yearning and persistent effort to connect with someone or something. The lyrics paint a picture of someone trying to reach an elusive lover who is not receptive to their advances. They feel lost and alone, searching for a way to "your island", a metaphorical representation of the person or place they desire to reach. The verse reveals that the protagonist has been trying to get there, but finds themselves trapped in silence and confusion. The chorus embodies the protagonist's hope and optimism that the relationship is not over, and that they will eventually make the connection. They imagine themselves sending a flare to “light the way” and to finally find their way onto this illusive "island".
